		<description>Great posting Dave, I agree with you and I am in the IT industry.  I have learned new tricks to get the attention of those that I need a faster response from, using works like URGENT or IMPORTANT in the subject line to really draw the attention of the user.

We receive some many messages in a day, how does one survive.  I have even gone back to paper based correspondence sending letters in the mail and other forms of communication that is not easily deleted and above the noise that is out there.
